This is what i am talking about, good ideas from informed experienced people that have been there done that.I have not heard much in the past about good or bad from having port work done on the ds motor, does it benefit as well as some others from porting? To get all this information and all these ideas for free is quite beneficial to anyone looking to do a build up and i for one am going to take full advantage of it with no apologies.

I have pretty much the same requirements for my DS also. If I were to spend $2000, I would buy the HP research 730 cyliner kit. Bang for the buck, that kit impresses me the most. I can't stand the aftermarket. They are all crooks if you ask me. However, that kit I would buy. I have talked with MR HP himself and I like him. Good people.

I recently inquired about this kit, and it's alittle more than the 1699.00 to get it all completed. That will only get you the cylinder, piston, rings, and gaskets. You still need the carb, cam kit(which includes everything you need to do it right), throttle options, etc. I don't know if I'm allowed to put the prices up I was quoted. If you'd like, PM me and I'll give you a breakdown of the parts, or you can email Mr HP.

Yes, as long as you are buying a kit like that, why not get the carb and cams etc....etc...but, how much fun will just the 1699 kit be. I think pretty fun for the money and you can hop it up as you get money or bored. I don't know, just my thoughts. I'm listening though.
