Frist : nitro is an oxygenator it will not burn by its self it needs a ignighter
second: It is a bitch to run as duneme say's
third It will not damage your motor as easily as you think it is very forgiving as alcahol is.
fourth : I MAY NOT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT BUT I HAVE SUSCESSFULLY RAN 35% FOR SEVERAL SEASONS IN A MOTOR AND IT STILL RUNS GREAT FROM WHAT I HEAR.

How much ignition timing are you running to burn 96-98%?
How did you modify the ignition to get a hotter spark?

It is easy to make lots of timing advance. The raised tab on the flywheel is the contact. Spark happens at the very end of it. All you have to do is shorten it to manually create additional advance. The problem lies in figuring out exactly how much to shorten it and how much additional advance it is creating. As slow as NM burns, it loves tons of compression and wants way more advance than is prudent to really maximize power.

enForcer, you are acting like you are on the Yamah forum where respect is a rare commodity. This is the Bombardier forum and we treat others with civility even when we disagree with them.
