The drag racing is cool and all but the group ride was a blast last year. 30+ DS's on an all out assault on the hill is priceless.

 

Engineer, man howdy do you have that right. That was something to see!!

Bill, going through Bend was alot faster than Through Portland. I think it took us 11hrs to go around to Albany. But on the way back, only about 9.5 once we hit the route towards Bend. I would check though, it might be faster droping down towards Reno and driving right by Sand Mtn Nevada and heading across. The dunes are in the middle of the state, on the western side. It will be a jaunt for some of you folks thats for sure. Heck we might have to come up with a longest distance award. Hopefully Choose still plans on coming, and can bring some of the fellow midwesterners with him. Heck if any of you boys just want to fly out, I am sure we can find the room for you to stay, and we drive right by the airport on the way out to the dunes, so we could swing in and pick you up.

I'll be part of the old-man Dune Crew and leave the drag racing to you fast guys. I'm no competition for the built bikes.

I've got some helmet cam video from the last DS Days Group Ride we can watch to motivate us for some new dune trips.
