Yes, you can re-powdecoat the coils. Do NOT chrome them, it will crack off. If you powder coater knows what they are doing, they can do them so they will hold up as well as stock. The trick, from my understanding, to doing coils is this, they put a thinner coat on them, but bake them longer in the oven than normal.

Thanks for the replies! I really want them chromed but have only seen short travel shocks chromed & not long travel shocks. So it sounds like I will go with powder coating unless I hear from someone that has had their DS shocks chromed & it worked/lasted.
