Bomb 800 sticky throttle
I have read previous posts concerning "throttle sticking", I too have had this. Last weekend while riding in the mountains, at the top of a climb the throttle was stuck at about 1/4 throttle. I applied the brakes and stopped, the throttle continued at the same RPM until I hit the kill switch. This happened again while going down a hill, luckily it wasn't a steep hill.
This is a real safety issue, someone is going to get hurt bad. Any ideas on why this would be sticking? Usually the cable is the first to look at, but this happening so infrequent it may be hard to isolate.
Could it be electronic?
I am a bit nervous about this as 6 months ago I did an end over end on a steep hill and just about was killed. All I remember is at the start of the decent it accellerated, I don't know if I hit the throttle by mistake or the machine had a mind of it's own. Regardless I suffered a server concussion, broken tail bone, etc etc.
Plus I was probally the first owner of an 800 to write it off.

On my new quad I saw that the throttle cable is rubbing on the shift lever and its really sharp....romove the right side cover and have a look. I think it could ware thru quite easy and cause it to stick???? I pulled mine away and used a zip tie to hold it from moving again.
