Default New Procom H.P. Kit

Does any one have any input for this Kit which is through Procom only. It consist of H.P CDI, H. P. Reg./Rectifier, and Magic Pwr Box. With 1 Mos. Refund, and 3 Mos. Warranty. For $269. Note: The Rep told me out of 200 sold only 3 returns???

WOW, but I would still be scared cause of what happened to me with a Procomm, but if you feel ok with it then try it.

Believe it or not my Procom CDI is still working good. These procomm parts all working together would probably do pretty well since they are made to run in unison with each other.

I wouldn't trust Pro Comm after all the horror stories I've read. Perhaps some have not had issues but I've read (on this forum) too many cases of the kickback issue and sprag failure. Also, I cann't believe that this package is doing anything other than raising your rev limit. I have not seen any dyno sheets showing significant gains from the Rect or the "magic" power box... I don't believe in magic, I believe in quality products that make power. Put your $$$ towards a high quality CDI like a Vortex, or for under $100 you can get the Big Gun, which has a much better track record than the Pro Comm.

I was looking at the ProCom Magic Box for the Outlander 800. It looks like it is a capacitor - very similiar to what they use in large car audio set-ups. Am I correct or way off?

Just got my new Outty and trying to spice it up without screwing it up!

Word of mouth goes a long way. I too read a lot of bad things with Procomm. As Fatholly said, save that $$ and get a Vortex. I have one and I love it...
