2008 Outlander Max 800 Length?

I'm wondering if the 2008 Outlander Max will fit in my 2004 crew cab short bed F150.
Does anyone have the measurements from the very front bumper to the rear axle?
I've checked the brp specifications for the length width (94" x 46"), is this from wheel to wheel?
Is the 46" just the wheels? Or does the body stick out to 46 inches?
The length of the Outlander MAX will be my problem, but the wheels are shorter than the body, which is what counts when it's in your truck bed.
Thanks guys for any help.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess that asks the next question - will a tailgate be able to hold the ATV? I'm going to be using the "LA Guard Dog" product (see it here - http://www.laguarddog.com), which holds the ATV to the truck with the hitches...
I wonder if there's a way to re-enforce the tailgate?

There should be no need. While it's hard to find exact ratings, most tailgates should hold around 800 to 1,000 pounds of steady weight. At most, only half the weight of the quad will be on the tailgate. The stress on the gate will vary a lot depending on how close to the hinge point or how close to the outside end the center point of the wheels are. I used to haul a KQ 300 in my old S-10. I know that it's tailgate is nowhere near as strong as theone on my current GMC. Went on some bouncy roads with that load in the S-10 with no problems.

I've bought an LA Guard Dog ATV tie down device (http://www.laguarddog.com) which attaches the ATV's tow ball to the truck hitch with the tailgate down. If you haven't already you should check out the video, it's pretty convincing.

It should help taking some stress of road bumps/movement away from the tailgate like normal tie downs do.

Crew Cab F-150 no chance Renegade 500 doesnt fit and if doing a long haul the gate down isnt that great but the LAguard dog hitch thing does take some of the stress off but it moreless just holds the quad from falling out. Some coonass down here in Louisiana must have lost his bike a time or two so he invented the guard dog thing
