2" bigger tires will throw the speedo off 15-20 mph. And ball park of 6 extra lbs per tire. Think I'll be back to 70 with a 26" or 27" less aggressive tire ?

anyone looking to go "top speed" on pavement on their atv should not own any atv- but to each their own. Just make sure you have a "next of kin" to leave your property to

I run 30" silverbacks on my 2011 800 max- the speedo is way off.
you'll need to clutch it to compensate for the larger tires.

but look at the bright side- your mileage will also be off- so the atv will show less mileage then what it actually is.

no idea.

the speedo isn't accurate because of the tires.

probably somewhere in the low 50's if I had to guess.

but I really never had any of my atv's up at top speed (throttle pinned)

who buys a 4x4 atv for top-end speed?

these big bore atvs might be capable of high speeds- but they were not designed to ride for any length of time at those high speeds, even with radial tires- they are not stable and will easily flip in a split second without much warning especially on tar.

the brute 750 is a fast atv- will easily keep up with an outty in the trails if both riders are experienced. but at the end of the day the can-am rider will feel a lot better.
I've owned a couple of brute 750's, neither had the top end the can-am has.
brutes have a real strong bottom end and a decent pull in the mid range- but really start to wind out on their top end- can-am's pull strong from the bottom to the top.

but- how often are you gonna be drag racing brutes? if that's what you're really worried about just buy an outlander 1000.

Anyone looking to go "top speed" but never go final speed because it causes unwise problem. So control your speed.

To echo beergut's sentiments. I've flirted with around 65 indicated mph on my prairie and it was still pulling and I backed out of it. Frankly 60+mph on a machine with aggressive tires and suspension with as much travel as most atv's have is a terrifying experience.
