Sand Blasters from Fullerton. Get the competion cut #1 paddle blasters. This is for a drag racing applicaton. Here is a link to a thread with pictures of my DS with the blasters on it. Mine are the #2 paddle which are taller than the #1s.

????about what price range for these tires... i seen that over there on them forums... is therea good web site with prices for these i haven't found....</end quote></div>

I got both sets I've had from a local Powersports shop for cost plus shipping. I gave around $600 for them competion cut on 10x10 douglas .125s. Most places will charge $700+. I knmow that's alot of money but less than compariable extremes. Give Damon Hampton at HRI Powersports a call. That's who I got both of my sets through. 903-793-3794

We called Skat Trak and they said with my engine build it needs the Extremes so I now have a set at the shop. Those are some sweet tires.

What are the specs Skat gave you? Interesting to see what they recommended for paddles.

I don't have them here but next time I'm out there I'll get them. It is a 9 paddle, 22" tire.

scat trak extreme...22 x 10 x 12 i am also 270, and those paddles turned my bike into a dune superstar. dont get the haulers...the weight of our bikes and riders tend to shred the paddles off the haulers after only a few rides. I have had my paddles since 05 with no problems. i picked my set up for about 340 dollars. call fullerton sand sports and ask for Joe...dood knows his sheeet

Skat Trak = GREAT
Sand Tires Unlimited (sandblasters, paddle brats) = Good
Everything else = JUNK/CRAP

The blasters are a great drag racing tire, but they're 26" tall and are for the high horsepower (80-100) drag bikes. But actually, your getting way ahead of yourself. Your theory about being able to keep the front end down because you weigh 270lbs, is absolutely FALSE (no offense). If your keeping the front end down with a stock swingarm and a built motor, then your completely defeating the purpose of building your motor. Might as well of left it stock. The first thing you need to invest in is a swingarm. Thats a fact!!! Why spend the money on your motor and then have paddles that spin so much to keep the front end down? Your just flushing your horsepower out the back with the roost. You need to put that power to the ground.

For your style of riding, I would recommend a +4 swingarm (no less!!!) and either 21" or 22" 8 paddle, triple buffed, or at least double buffed, extremes. Dont debate it, just do it. You can thank me later LOL.

Call Damian at Black Label for the swing arm. 337 342 9648
and John at Sandtoyz Unlimited for the tires. http://www.sandtoyzunlimited.com/
They're good people! They'll treat you right!
