What paddles for built DS650?
#1
I'm having my 2001 DS650 built by Jim Woods of Simi Valley Honda and current CORVA President. He is doing valves/springs and porting the head. He is also putting a higher compression piston in and a new cam. All the parts are from Ron Wood Racing but I don't have the part numbers or actual values yet. Also putting on a Woods Racing Exaust system.
With that I think I will need some new paddles. I am currently running a set of Maxxis Rooster which I think won't handle the new power.
What are the hot paddle tires these days? I was told about one called Razr and a few others. Any suggestions?
I am also curious what people think about how much more power I'll have. I mainly want to beat Raptors and I'm pretty sure this will allow me to do that and beat most other stock quads too.

i would call up fullerton motorsports. they know a ton about paddes. and with paddles there r so meny factors in what is a good choice.where u ride, rider wight, swingarm lengh exc. with out a doubt something made by skat trak though such as haulers, extremes and gliders.

I don't think 7 paddle extremes would be enough, im runnin 9's on both my bike with minor bolt ons and it just enough, 7 paddles on a mildly built bike like that I don't think would grab nearly enough, id go with 9 or 10 paddles for sure. just my 2cents.

The Maxxis is an 8 paddle but they are not very aggressive. They just seem so small when I compare them to my buddy's. I think he has Sand Sharks.
