In my original post I voiced my opinion after spending one day riding the BRP.

I was not comparing it to my current ATV only what I liked and didn't like.

I have a friend here in town that has a garage full of new ATVs from several different manufactures and I get the opportunity to ride a few of them. So far the one that I have liked the best is the 2010 Suzuki KQ 750.

I do my best to ride them with an open mind and that was my impression of the '09 Outlander Max 800.

I have no interest in 2-up or "heavy" ATVs, the big ones seem to lose their "sportiness" and agility in my opinion.

I am sure that it is the perfect ATV for a lot of people; I am just not one of them.

Hi Spectra,

Can you tell me what you liked best about the King Quad? I haven't rode one before so I'm looking for your opinions.

Thanks,

Specta you seem to pop up in every thread that involves an Outty here lately. Are you that proud that you rode a couple miles on one? J/k Sounds like you want one and are trying to get yourself sold on it lol.
Seriously though..I can't speak about an 09,haven't ridden one..but my 2010 Max has Powersteering and a much faster locking front diff that the 09s had...the AWD system works great....that coming from someone whose main reason for ever owning a Can-Am was the old AWD set up...
Also the front end doesn't bottom out nearly as easy as my Polaris 850 did...so maybe they addressed that issue...that or I just don't have enough miles on it yet...
I had heard that was a problem with the older Outtys, one of the guys on the forums has an 07 and a 2010,he says the 2010 front suspension set up is much better. Take it what it is worth...so far mine handles very well...

Oh and the ergonomics...everyones opinions are different and ergonomics are really a matter of opinion...I love the way the Can-Am is set up!! Everything just feels right and is right where I expect it to be..1st time I got on it and rode..it just felt right...nothing to really get used to for me except the start system...everything else felt natural.
The display is very easy to read and navigate.....
The only issues with ergoniomics I have is I always hit the reverse override instead of the start button for some reason...and I won't say I am crazy about the way the do the ignition switch and push button start....but I can get past that...I leave it on and use the kill switch..everything else is set up great IMO.

Ironbear...you know the deal...take in all the info posted on the forums and then go ride it for yourself...what I like the next guy may hate.
I will say that if you ride a brand new Can-Am it may feel a little sluggish and it has an engine vibe..bought of those things might initially turn a guy off coming from the super smooth 850....but in just a few operating hours it comes alive and the power is great and you get used to the engine vibe...well at least I did.

When I first sat on it I liked the way it felt.

The engine is amazingly smooth for a 750 single and the response is crisp.

I liked the power steering, the first PS that I have ridden.

The 4-wd button was awkward to press in with gloves one. I also like a locking front diff that I can control.

It also has the best "feeling" belt trans that I have ridden. Very smooth engagement (will Polaris ever fix their's?) and at higher speeds it seeems as if though is shifts into a higher gear and the rpms drop down.

Power is also impressive and I liked it in white too.

It felt light and nimble for a big bore.

I don't like that it doesn't have a recoil start.

Default ergonomics on can am.

I couldn't help but notice people talking about the ignition key on the can am. My 650 max is the same layout, I don't find it an issue at all. The can am does have one awkward thing with the shifter. On occasion I have had the bars turned to the right and had to move the shifter from low to reverse and the bars are in the way, other than that its all good stuff. As for other brands, they have issues too and it would be real boring if they were all perfect.
