About that video posted by TLC, with the Kodiak 450, I'm not seeing a reason for a locker on that hill either, ... just ride the thing a little better. I think its hilarious what some people call extreme, or "insane" terrain. Here is a video that was a link on the same youtube page as the last one. It will crack you up.

Should have been called Yamaha Grizzly on inlame terrain. When it's headlight deep and your front end starts floating that's a little more insane. Well, the water might have been 6" deep. I suppose that's insane to some.

I did have a set of Big Horns and other than getting some great mileage out of them I don't have anything good to say about them.
That's what I thought you might have on now. I remember you mentioned them a while back. I think the best all around tread pattern is like the PXT which is based on the tried and true 489, 589 design. Add a radial carcass to that tread pattern and you can handle most any terrain. I like my XTRs for the same reason. Only place I've got stuck so far is in waist deep snow. The snow was all crystalized so there was no traction and I couldn't get down to hard ground that far down. Everyone of us ended up getting winched out at some point. We were on snowmobile/ATV mixed use trails where they groom them. If one of your front tires caught the soft stuff on the edge of the trail you were done... Winches and ****** blocks came in handy. All good fun.

All this talk about the Renegade 800 might just be old news in a few months. Dealers have started ordering their 2012 Can-Am ATVs at this point, but they cannot place an order for an 650cc or 800cc ATV for 2012. Can Am has something "new and exciting" to announce at their dealer show in July. This dealer show is being held in Canada for the first time, and they are making the dealers get passports to go to the show. Its supposed to be a lot bigger deal than usual. There is talk of Can Am putting the 1000 cc Commander motor in the Outlander and the Renegade. Perhaps they would then sell a 500cc and a 1000cc ATV, with just maybe a new 750cc ATV in the middle. There is also talk about an all new chassis for the Outlander and Renegade. I have heard mention of a new tubular steel chassis, and Can Am also has their Al-tec chassis on their DS 450. Imagine a 1000cc Renegade that has 20 more HP, while weighing 100 lbs less because of an all aluminum al-tec chassis. Ok, we probably wont see that one, but Can Am has big plans for 2012 it would appear. Oh, and there is supposed to be something big and new with the Commander as well, perhaps a pure sport model to compete with the Polaris Rzr 900 XP and the Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000.

One of my friends here has already seen the 2012s and worked with Can Am on the commercials that they filmed here in Utah.

SxSs do nothing for me and the ony one I would ever consider buying would have to fit through a 50" gate.

I would love more power but that kind of power really serves no purpose for my riding style.
