not really- it's an inline twin with 2 cams, the kawasaki and can-am's rotax v-twin also both have "twin cams"... each cylinder has its own overhead cam. The rotax & polaris both have 4 valves per cylinder - not sure on the kawasaki engine.

the only difference is in the cam configuration- one is an in-line (polaris) and the other a V (can-am)... both motors have 2 camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder.
