Being as my funds can be better spent on R&D of Team Pami motors instead of testing Scat-Trac tires that I've paid for, I chose to call them rather than just hammer on them and risk tearing them up so I could buy new tires.

I spoke with Jim and he was extremely helpfull and forth coming. He explained to me that it was not so much of a problem as it was a matter of the haulers not lasting as long as Scat-Trac would like. He did recomend the 9 paddle edges instead of my 10 paddle haulers. Since I do not want to risk tearing up tires that were never recomended for the DS, I'm making the switch.

Jim did also inform me that they are currently developing a new paddle design that will hold up to heavy weight, high torque quads such as ours. Now, please don't go trying to order these tires yet, you could sort of call this "inside" information and they are not in production yet.

I was happy to see that Scat-Trac not only stood up to admitt a possible problem, but is actually taking steps to rectify the problem. That type of service is what brings me back to a product.

 

So it sounds like the Magnum Sand Tire kit that I just bought, that's only available with 8 or 10 paddle Haulers, no Edge's available in 12", with part numbers specifically for the DS won't hold up.....that makes me feel good. Especially since I just started modifying to increase the torque and HP. I hope that if I have a problem with keeping the paddles on these tires that Skat Trak tries to take care of it somehow. After all they are the most expensive to buy paddle tires made as near as I can tell.
