Bombthreat this is what you posted "why would i pay 1500, then another 3000 when i could just pay the 3000 and get every thing i need for the 703".
All I was doing was pointing out the fact that you dont pay an additional 3 grand if you have stage 1 kit already, you were wrong about that. OK

 

ok stage 1 you got me there ... i was going by the prices i seen on the web .I think im going to go with knutz 703 for my first big upgrade .. i just need to ride it onces in the snow before i take it apart to mode it up ...... i got to give you this those are some nice air pictures you got ..

 

If someone is looking to upgade from a RWR stage I to a 703, it's alot more affordable than you think. The 703 kit cost less than $2400 when you start from a stock bike, but if you already have the ignition box and carb from the stage I, you can subtract over $600 from that. Now your looking at 55-60HP for an upgrade of less than $1800. Not the $3000 number that was being tossed around.

 

thanks for the info knutz i new it was around 3000 so i just rounded it off ... so for 2400 i can go from stock to a 703 ???.

 

The price would be the same when steping up from a stage II. The RWR piston would not be re-used[due to a 2MM lager bore] and cams are not part of the 703 kit, but the fact that you already have the cams would make it that much more powerfull. Vegas650 made the step from the stage II to the 703 and seems very pleased. The RWR cams are relativly low lift, long duration cams, so the power is shifted slightly to the top end, but the stroker crank and over all increased displacement provide a strong bottom and mid as well.

The clutch springs could be deducted from the price as well though, if you already have our. If you have Ron Woods springs though, I highly recomend the change to ours. I'm getting a nice little stockpile of RWR clutch springs from customers that couldn't get the clutch to hook up with them.
