Headed to mins14 place again, going to have a good time again. Its a pretty good place to ride, they have a nice little track, good long & short drag strip, and nice trails. Everybody we have rode with there is really nice people.Looking for people in the area to join the fun. (that is if itsok with mins14)

Yep and I think that we will try to bring some other people down to join the fun. As far as new and improved all I did was change my plugs.

Yes the TQ is no longer undefeated but second only to 14mins Raptor and even won a few races from him. The Raptors were strong today. Things look different than when geared down Raptors were run. Maybe that is why last weekend seemed so close. Roostin, do you think you be be riding tomorrow? If so let me know and we will come for a while to get a few laps in.

RRC-that was a nice note that rooster and hurycne posted a few minutes ago.

RRC-i made a quick trip down the road (10 pm)to my sisters place. 81.3 mph. The front fenders are slowing me down now.Thinking about getting the jig saw out.

observations of the ds650-

rooster and hurycne have been riding with us raptor jockeys a few times now. we have run in excess of 100 drags. we have traded back and forth. these 2 ds650's are slighty modded (full exhaust, filters, jets, no rev limiters)

r and h come out of the hole strong, generally leading at the 50 foot mark. i don't launch as well(it is me not the machine)betwwen 50 foot and 300 i close the gap and start walking away until about 550 feet, thier ds's can gain back a little back. from 700 to 800 feet i start leaving them again.

completely stock raptor(again i am never the 1'st out of the box) but i reel it in by the 600 ft mark and start to walk away. I think the factory exhaust really hurts it on top end, but is better down low.

Magazine reviews really are worthless... I would really like a stock 650 come and play. I would like to see first hand the difference betwwen the modded and unmodded verisions.

the stock 2001 banshee he needs some modds to compete.

in a drag race of any distance, the trailer queen is the only quad that gets my attention. We have had alot of fun and my wife told me if rooster and hurycne start beating me that i can order more parts, but not until then. So rooster and hurycne get on the ball because i want to go faster.

ALL ds 650's are welcome to come play with us along with anyone else. To me more is better.

a few more thoughts- the full exhaust bombs really sound mean, and they really soak up the bumps. the heavier weight of the ds is probably its biggest downfall. r and h outweigh me by 50 pounds so that has a little to do with it, but not enough.

we need to all go play in the sand!

Want to play in the sand would love to have a chance for the texas people to runs some La. people. We play at La Dunes yes it sucks compared to the real dunes but once we find a good smooth area the dragging is on. Just give me about a month to get my motor back.

La dunes sound like a place we would like to visit. Where in La are they located? How long would it take to get there from Fort Worth?

La Dunes East down I-10 to Alexndria exit, that hwy165 North from there about an hour. Forth Worth is about 4-5 hrs from my house and i live right at Hwy 165 and I-10 so i fig about 5-7 hrs trip for you. So head out friday and stay the weekend and it should be worth it.
