.......once you got those F!@#king bowl screws off. People if you havn't re-jetting yet let me give you some advise. Don't even try to use a philips screw driver to get them off. Just a complete waste of time. Just get yourself a hacksaw, cut almost all the way thru the bolt head, get your strongest flathead screwdriver, and some elbow grease, a lot of elbow grease. Once these screws are off it's a piece of cake.

Couple ?'s, - how do you know if you have the right jet size in? Do you have to have a look at the spark plug? Can you just tell by listening to it? It was late when I got it done last night so I was unable to rev it up.

I have a slip on pipe, lidless @ I think I'm at 1000feet. I used the stage III 185 main clip 3rd position. What do you guys think?

I agree, it is easy once you get the screws off for the first time. Some have used an impact driver, I used needle nose vice grips then replaced the screws with allen head screws (as many others have.) I think the needle nose vice grips is the easiest way to remove them.

Most will tell you to look at the spark plug. I tune by riding and listening (probably not the best but, sure is easier.)

Your jetting looks good. If it sounds fat at all drop to the 180 jet and that should be fine. Do you have your air box lid on???

How do you like your pipe?

No I have the airbox lid off. I'll get to ride it tonight when I get home, it was to late last night to rev it up.

Hadn't even got the chance to try the pipe out, been waiting on the jet kit to come in. It looks good and was easy to install though.

i am pretty sure you are way lean with your airbox lid off. I have the same pipe and I have a 175 mikuni jet which equals like a 190 or 195 stage 3 yet if i remember right, there is a chart somewhere. Sean

How can you tell by listening to it if your fat or lean. Popping, bogging, what?

Taxi - I run just about the same set-up as you (slip-on, lidless, 600') and my main jet is 195 dynojet. I started with 185 too, but it was lean (with my pipe anyway). Experienced jetters can go by listening and feeling, riding out of turns, etc., but its all very hard to explain. Best bet is plug checks - you want a clean plug that is tanish brown on the end, not fowled, and not white or gray. Put in a new plug and ride - it takes a couple hours to get a good color on a new plug. If you are lean, the 185 is not lean enough to do harm in a couple hour ride, just don't hammer the hell out of drags until you're confident its right. If you don't have color after a couple hours, jet up.

I think that I'm going to go up to the 190. I was able to ride it yesterday, it felt good but not good enough. And someone posted a chart showing how the mukini and dynojet compare. I figured that I pulled a mukini 165 out and put in a dyno 185, isn't that almost the same? Plus when I took the seat off and hit the throtle I could hear it sucking air, sounded pretty lean.

Do you guys think that I'm to lean? What's the elevation in AZ?

Put the Dyno-jet 195 in and turn your idle/mixture screw 3 turns out.

Sorry, I run the 180 at Sand Mt., NV with the Air Box lid off (4000' ele.)

I think the Gradon pipe needs more fuel than the ProCircuit too.

The pipe sure makes a difference though doesn't it???

I can hear when mine is fat when it is lugging a little bit when I am going around a bowl at the dunes. Once I lean it up, it doesn't bog as much.

I wasn't able to really get out and get on it, I just had to cruise up and down the street. The wife came out and got me telling me to stop. Guess my new pipe is really loud. It was really hard to tell how much improvment there was. I did all my mods at the same time. I thought that the front end would try and come off the ground we me being on pavement and all but it didn't. The quad just took off down the street. I did get to the end of the street before getting into 4th though.
