well I don't know of any list and you are right there should be a list for us "recreationalists" to use so we can make an informed purchase. I found out from a little motorcycle shop owner here in Vegas about the camel bak/jansport affiliation.

 

Say what, if I had known that Jan Sport and camelbak is affiliated with the sierra club, I would have looked for a competetor. Also screw P.E.T.A. for screwing up are offshore fishing in so.cal.

 

at the minimum just take off the camelsak patch on it, i bought a look a like @ walmart for half the price of the camelsaks. Also camelsak is ANTI-GUN so i just wanted to point that out also since i estimate 85% of us are also outdoorsmen. F**K camelcrap and there hippie/p.c. way of life.

way to sugar coat it Jimbo, lol. I tell people all the time about this affiliation since I found out about it and everyone has the same response. And you are correct about alot of other alternatives out there. Even some of the moto-cross gear makers are coming out with there own line. You just have to look a little harder and it might not have all the bells, but as long as it keeps you hydrated and doesn't leak its better than what they offer.
