Default Clutch Springs

I guess I've finally reached the rung of the laddler that requires my first minor internal mod. Last weekend after adding 8 disks to the E-series slip-on (for a total of 20) and getting the jetting closer to par I apparently found some ponies and now the clutch is slipping...I'm guessing and hoping this is the cause...wishful thinking? Anyway, how about some input on where you purchased aftermarket springs--pami, tvi, rwr, alba...what about price? I was quoted fifty bucks from TVI and he said they're better than pami's and were custom made for TVI...Okay, yeah, I bought them...anyone else?

I am running Valvoline 10w-40 and don't think it's the cause of slippage...no molies or synthetics.

Check the plates for blueing. Those fibers should be ok.

...are you saying the plates will have to be replaced if blued? My first clutch issue...can I purchase just the plates?

i have the springs from tvi in one, and the woods in the other. i don't have any slippage with the tvi springs, and that is with the synthec oil. the pull of themm is a little hard for my wife, so she got the woods springs. woods is getting new springs that are stiffer
