Bombardier Traxter 2000 . Gear shift
#1
I sent this letter to Bombardier over a week ago . No asnwer so far !!!
I own the first Bombardier traxter that made it to Argentina. I'm basically very happy with it but I have this problem with the gear shift . Most of the time it turns to be very difficult to switch between High and reverse or neutral. Also from High to Low or parking. I tried all basics like making sure to use the brake , rock the quad , give a little gas , etc. I mentioned this problem to the official dealer mechanics when I took the quad for his first servicing , but they were , obviously unable to fix it. Since the traxter is brand new in Argentina , mechanics don't have a lot of experience with it. What do you suggest I do ?
Thanks for your impute.
Sincerely

I also have a Traxter, The only time it is hard to change the gear selector lever is when it is on high choke position and the RPM's are higher, when I lower the RPM, it shifts normal / easy. I hope this might give you an idea.
I am sure you will enjoy it alot when you get used to it.

Well, if you sent it by e-mail, expect a response within two to three weeks. That's how long it took me.
From my experience, you gotta kinda lift up on the gear ****er when you shift. If it gets stuck, there is a tool in the tool kit that will help you pry it up. Read through the manual thoroughly. My dad bought one a week ago and really enjoys it.
Good luck,
