I'm not surprised to see that discussion is turning into Gas vs. Diesel, anytime towing and fuel mileage are discussed, it happens. I've always preferred the quick response and quiet power of a good gas engine, but I've got to admit, these new Diesels are putting up some pretty impressive horesepower and torque numbers. Combine that with documented better fuel efficiency, and they look tough to beat. If they just weren't so expensive!

Default Gas Mileage; V10

7.3L super duty towing my 6500# toy hauler at 70mph with the cruiz on I get 12 to14 mpg.
I'm happy with that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].
I try to keep it at 60 to 65 but it feels like I can walk faster that.

yeah, that sounds about right... but if you kept the speed below 60, I garuntee that you could pull 16-18.
