To Nerf or not

I will be riding trails, fields, ditches, gravel roads, abandon railroad lines and the like. I will NOT be racing, jumping or duning. Should I get nerf bars?. I am used to floorboards on my old 4X4 and my foot didn't slip off once in 9 years. Would the bard get hung up on tral particles like fallen trees ect?
Thanks for the input

i have a set of graydon nerfs on mine and i really like them. now all the cool go fasters don't run them but with the trail riding it sure is nice to have the protection from sticks and rocks, not to mention they act as road pegs when you want to strech out you'r legs. when i go to the dunes i'm one of the few with them on but who cares, they will keep other machines from coming in and breaking a leg or somthing.

I love mine!!
I am a trail/ditch/field rider also. I love mine.. They look cool and somtimes you can bounce around pretty dang good. My wife slipped off my pegs once and got a NASTY bruse from the peg hitting her.. So I a bought the AC nerfs.. Plus they just look dang cool!

I'm going to put nerfs on mine mainly because I like to jump and I'm a little paranoid about my foot slipping off the peg when I land. I ride mainly in the sand, but I still think nerfs are a great idea and yes they do look cool.

#1 advantage I've gotten from mine is the ability to slip around trees without hooking a tire. When you flying throught the woods trails, and take a sharp corner, if you hook a rear tire because you cut it too early it can be disasterous. Nerfs slide the bike right around the tree and prevent this.
The ability to put your foot on the ground is lost - which is a good thing, becuase too many people put there foot on the ground at the wrong time anf brake their leg as a result.
Over time you will condition yourself to plan farther ahead - look farther ahead prior to stopping, so that you stop in a postion that does not require you to get off the bike for turning around, or put you feet on the ground to rock around. Instantaneous emergency stops can even be quickly thought about in milliseconds. I don't even know what the purpose of reverse is on a quad - never had it, never will.
Just keep the webbing tight, instead of sagging down like all the pictures you see - I can't understand what's up with that.
