Am I mistaken or is the Baja Motorsports WD250-U exactly the same as the Jetmoto 250 Hunter?

Just look a bit harder, the obvious:
Head lights are totally different
The Hunter is semi auto (No Clutch)
the Baja is Clutch (Fully Manual Shift)
90 day warranty on the Baja, 6 month on the Jet

Not the same beast at all!

I downloaded the manual from their resource page and it has the exact same type of shifting that the hunter does (semi-auto). Check it out. Besides the peripherals (headlights, reflectors, mirrors) this looks to be the same! They also have a nice assembly pdf for this bike which I downloaded.

I do not believe its the "same" machine though it looks the same. The baja is semi auto also but I don't believe it has front disc brakes....I could be wrong though. Also Baja's 250 it sells is made by 2 different companies or they switched to a different company etc. . A shop that does the service work for the local Retailer that sells Baja was saying the 250 baja was the best product and bang for your buck from the baja models we get up here in Canada.

What ever the case the Jemoto is a better deal price wise.

Yes, it does have front disc brakes. As an owner of the Hunter 250, and looking at the manual for the Wilderness 250, I am not seeing any differences other than a few of the peripheral items such as reflectors and mirrors. For anyone that did not get assembly instructions or a descent manual for their Hunter 250 (remember the Jetmoto Hunter 250 and the Jetmoto Sport 250 are entirely different) this is a great resource for those items.

Check the plate on the frame as to what factory it was made in. The fellow at the repair shop was saying that baja swithced builders. He was saying they look the same but you can tell by the serial number and the factory it was made in as to which supplier it is. I believe he said Janshie makes them now.

On another forum here a guy was saying that I think it was a 2004 yamaha 250 uses the same parts as the baja 250. He said he bought yamaha parts and they fit.

Check out this site http://parts.blueridgeimports.com/parts2/ Look around at the 250 models I think they are copy of the baja 250 also. They list the parts and prices with pictures.

How's Jetmoto 250 been working for you?

Thanks Sawyer,

My Hunter 250 has been great so far. I've only ridden it 3 times so far but it seems to be pretty nice.
So another potential resource for parts or accessories is the Marshin MXT250. My Jetmoto Hunter has lots of brothers it seems.

Yamaha Bear Tracker 250 (2004)
Baja Wilderness 250-U
and now...Marshin MXT250

Ok I got the low down on these Baja 250's today. Baja got the 250's from Jianshe at the start, they have the round speedometer on them. My "guy" claims they were good next to no issues with them. Then Baja switched to a different supplier for the 250's and they have been not as good. Trans problems and electrical stuff. Also the Baja 4x4 has been a problem also. Some of the baja stuff is good and some isn't like all China made stuff it depends on what factory makes it and to what specs.

Found this site http://www.powerpartsplus.com/...ewbybrand/default.aspx lets you look up Yamaha parts online.
Found a drive shaft boot for my 110 quad on there. The parts drawing is an exact copy of the the parts drawing that came with my Chinse quad. The rear drive shaft, diff. assemble is a yamaha raptor clone. So I just ordered the part from Yamaha....was cheaper too.
