What kind of tire is good for every riding condition?
#3
Mike..,or Ike.. which ever you may be;
Welcome to the real world.. there's no tire that is good for every riding situation.. if there were, there would be only one type of tire in existance. OK, I'm pulling your chain a little bit, so now that that's over, you'd have to decide what it is that you do the most of and then pick a tire that is suitable for that job and reasonably qualified to do the other jobs you mention.
As any one who reads these posts may know I'm a big fan of the Pure Sports BanditXC tire & am on my 2nd pair of rears with a new pair of fronts on my patio when they are needed. I ride a Warrior also, and I find that they hook up great in dirt, hard pack and fairly well in mud, plus they are major strong and have a hard compound and last quite well. If you would like more info on this tire, feel free to email me, so I won't bore every one else who has seen my disertation before

My friend has bear claws and they have withstood lots of blacktop and still have very good treads. The are and all terrain tire based more towards the mud.

I use the 22x11x9 Maxxis All tracks on my Warrior and am totally satisfied with their performance. They get much greater bite than the stockers and slide corners with far more stability. These things are great. I even tackle mudholes that would stop me cold on the stock dunlops. The only thing I ever have trouble with now is the limited ground clearance. Also keeping the front end on track with the rear is tough. I very highly reccomend the All tracks.
