I cannot get the nut off the shaft of the centrifegal clutch on my 97 Honda Recon. This model ATV has two clutches. I was able to get one nut off using an impact wrech but the other one just will not come loose. I have tried an eletric and air operated impact wrench. Can someone help me?????

If you block the shaft from rotating (best way, use a Honda gear-holder, but only a Honda dealership garage is likely to have one, shade-tree way, jam the gears tightly with a rag), apply all the penetrating oil you can find to the nut, and MAKE SURE YOU'RE TURNING IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION (check for left- or right-hand threads), an air impact wrench should have enough torque to remove the nut. Blocking the shaft normally isn't necessary with an impact wrench. Be patient; let the wrench beat on the nut as long as it takes. If this approach doesn't work, sounds like the old ball peen hammer and cold chisel routine (a Moto-tool cut-off wheel might at least give you a start and save some time if you have to go this route).
