Default Speed Rating of ATV Tires

Does anybody know what the speed rating of ATV tires are?
With the newer machines capable of higher speeds, I am concerned the tires may not hold up.
I currently run Mudbugs, but want a set of trail tires that can handle high speeds > 50 MPH.

Hum. Never really thought about that. I have had 26" swamp lites to 65mph on many occasions with 2psi of air. Dang now I have to go look them up.

I don't know that I'd be too concerned with speed ratings unless you're on pavement at high speeds. Just a thought.

Maybe the better question is has anyone ever had a tire failure due to high speeds?
And if so what type/brand?

Not on my quad. Only failures have been a slashed sidewall from a sharp rock. I was able to stuff a few tire plugs in it and it held air for a couple years with no noticeable adverse effects.

I've never seen any speed rating on atv tires but I have seen where it says not for highway use.

None are meant to go Fast, the point of there 5 psi tire pressure in for slow rough off road condition. You Cant have fast great handling tires with only 5 psi pressure in them.

Sure many ATVs can go over 60 but none handle well doing it. The manufacturers know this thats why a 800cc ATV makes only 70hp while there 800 Sleds and PWC make 140hp.
They do not want to go to court like the old 3 wheelers did.

I guess you could put some high pressure street tires on a ATV but is would be pretty rough if it was driven off road where they belong.
