Default Riden' the Black Hills

A few of us decided to hit the trail, maybe for one last long ride before the snow gets deep, and to check out all the color in the Hills. Rode 80+ miles and got a good view of the fall Aspens (silver dollar tree).
Anyone wanting to take in the view better hurry..........it won't last long. Some of the Aspen had already lost their leaves.

We drove through the Black Hills on the way to Yellowstone back in 2004. I remember one of the passes had been closed because of a snowstorm a few days before we got there. It was August 27th and snowing as we crossed into Wyoming. Different world.

thanks for the pictures Tramp.

I'm sure I'm not the first to say this but those hills don't look black to me.

Well, no they don't when you are in them. But as you approach them from a distance, coming off the flat land.......they do have the black effect. (One of those Indian things), sure you have some of those Indian things where you are at?

We have a lot of Indian things here. The Fremont Indians lived here about 2300 years ago.

Specta
How did the Jamboree go? Had planned to attend this year, but due to other unforseen events, we had to cancell. Hope to make it down next year.
Did they have a big crowd and how was the weather.

There are 2 jamborees here, the largest is in Richfield and I think their numbers were down this year but I'm not sure. We don't see a lot from that jamboree here at Big Rock. the weather was great.

Marysvale has a SxS jamboree that did well for only its second year.

If you do make it out make sure you hunt me down.
