Doesn't have the same effect unless it is right against your skin

I did it to mainly to keep my feet dry before buying a pair of AlpineStars...The bag's kept my feet warm and dry...Dont know if its as warm as it would be in Saran wrap though..Do remember it was nice to have dry socks..

Default wrapping feet in plastic

You got me here with wrapping the feet in plastic wrap, are you trying to keep them warm or dry?

Our cold weather is not the same as the northern areas; however I wear a pair of wool "Snake Boot" socks inside my high boots when it gets cold and they work just fine, as for water it don't rain much in the mojave desert so I'm no help there.

Found a spool of repelling rope in my father-in-laws garage. reeled off about 25' and wrapped it around the front bumper of my 400ex. comes in real handy to throw to our recovery quad when I do something stupid.. which is often.. Other than that I have to agree the cheep tank bag is great.. tired of carrying that backpack..

I attached a bag onto my grab bar that contains a BLM map, basic first aid kit and a tow strap. For water I carry a military camel back it carries close to two liters of water mixed with ice cubes. For real long rides I carry a military backpack with food and a survival kit just in case.

Here is one that is FREE if you use a Windows Mobile smart phone.

NoniGPSPlot - its a free program that pulls topographic maps (and other choices) from Google and uses your GPS in your phone to plot your path while you ride. You can mark waypoints and such.

I use it to mark the parking lot and track my route....so I can always find my way out. Ive also used it to mark the location of a broken down ATV so we know where to find it when we come back. You can save your paths so eventually you will end up with a map of the entire trail system....and of course you can mark/label waypoints such as crossings, difficult areas, pretty scenery, places to picnic etc.

SUPER handy.

[QUOTE=DODGE57HEMI;2879910]Well if you made money with your quad you would know it gets old fast having to mess with that **** every morning at 4:00. It gets old realy fast!QUOTE]

F.Y.I. i make money with my wheeler. summer (spraying) and winter (plowing). and dont want an efi... $1k more. cant fix on your own if SOMETHING would go wrong as its computer controlled it would cost more. just because its electronic dont make it better. playing with a lever for 30sec isent that bad. talk about everyone wants it done yesterday and there gona whine about becuse they dont want to wait..... theres 2 reasons efis are around.

1) all people want to go now. and dont want to wait.
2) EPA!!!!!!

maybe in 5yrs ill get an efi. but not yet. when a wheeler can run like my pickup with 250,000 miles without an issue with the efi system. then ill be convinced efi is better. but not yet.

anyways....

the best mods iv added:

reverse lights $free
home made plow $25
hand/thumb warmers $free

Default Efi

My 450 is EFI the good point I see is that it starts right up without choking it to death or priming the carb like the wifes 250, it warms up to running temp very quickly ready to go jump the moguls in about 10 min. The bad side is my 450 loves its fuel and its like running one of the old 60's & 70's vintage muscle cars when you put your foot into the gas you waved bye bye to the fuel in your tank but yah buddy you got one heck of a wild ride; however, my 450 climbs like a goat on the hills and car swallowing moguls and runs like a scalded dog on the open ground of the car killing desert race tracks so I think the trade off is worth it.

I know I have been on a good ride when I get back to the house out of breath from the beating I took running the track.
