Yes, a friend bought one for his Honda 4wheeler. His factory battery only lasted a year and a half so he bought the lipo kit with battery and charger. His biggest advantage is he can plow for much longer periods of time. A winch uses lots of juice in the winter and many charging systems cant keep up with winch, lights etc during winter snow plowing. His lipo does much better in that dept, his only real issue is...he is not supposed to be jump started if his battery gets low. It does have a light that blinks when he gets the battery low enough that he has to stop shortly and allow it to charge back up. He says he likes the extra power but does need to be carefull !! 285.00 for the lipo kit...???

Thats a pretty good price for the lipo kit. In reality using for your buddy is no different them a normal battery since he probably had to stop a few times for a normal battery to charge up

That has a pretty healthy price tag on it...not saying it isnt a good battery but for that price it should be good. I bought a deep cycle 18 ah sealed battery that was made for a wheel chair. The dimensions were right on for what I needed. Used it for 2 years in grandaughters electric Dora atv, then been using it for 3 additional years for my 30 gallon sprayer and as a battery for my electric trolling motor on my pond boat. I keep it on a battery tender when not in use. After 5 plus years still going like new, shipped to my front door for less than 50 bucks. I will be ordering one for my utv when the original wears out. 2015 machine with original sealed agm battery and still going strong. It is also kept on a battery maintainer all thru the winter in between plowing jobs. I also use a maintainer on my boat battery and that is 6yrs old....take care of your batteries and they will last a long time !!!!

It was off Amazon, did a search for "small deep cycle batteries", searched a battery sight with numerous types of batteries used for wheel chairs. Searched for largest size battery to fit the area I had to hold the battery. It started out in my grandaughters ride on atv (electric power wheels) then used it for my 30 gallon sprayer, also gets used for my trolling motor on my pond boat. It is same size as my utv battery. Dont remember the exact place it was purchased from as it has been over 6 yrs back. Neighbor bought one like it from Amazon a year ago for his atv. Being a deep cycle, they seem to last longer.

I also like a AGM battery. Like a duracell if I can get one.
With the restrictions, I can't post a place to go and get one.
But if you decide on a AGM battery.
You need to get a AGM charger for it.
And if you leave a charger on it all the time. It will wind up burning the battery up over time.
Charge the battery. with like a 7 amp charger. I chose a Noco charger.
And after its charged. Disconect the power from the quick connect.
set a reminder on our phone.
Go back in a month and charge it again.
This way the charger is not sitting there boiling the battery dry.

What you need is a battery "maintainer", this will charge slowly then just keep a maintainence charge that will not boil a battery dry! Besides, agm batteries are sealed and require a slower charge so boil over or "venting" should not be an issue. I keep maintainers on my boat, motorhome, and utv battieries all winter long from Nov until mid May with never an issue. Some batteries are more than 4 yrs ol and still hold a charge like they were new. Most every battery mfgr recomends a battery maintainer when battery will be sitting unused for long periods of time.
