250ex clutch prob.

Default 250ex clutch prob.

i dont know whats up with my new ex . the clutch made a clunking noise in a higher gear when i gave and realeased the thorttle so i adjusted the cluth by the set screw the decrease play and it was fine now when i am going and lock up the back brake and realease it it makes the same exact noise but if i adjust it any more the clutch dont engage at all

Default 250ex clutch prob.

That is a normal sound that comes from the 250's. There is nothing wrong with your clutch and there are many reports of this happening, it does it on my recon to and has done it since it was new. All you have to do is down shift and that clunking sound will go away.

you have a auto clutch in a 250ex not a manual clutch

I had that same problem, but it was because I was in too high of a gear for the speed I was at. My brother rode it and he said theres nothing to worry about, and hes been riding hondas for 10 years.
