im not to sure about this, adn honda does not post and specs on towing for the rcon, but i would guess it can haul a hefty amoust, i ahve a trx 300 4by4 and i pulled a 6000lbs boat that had its tires in little dips because of it weight sitting on dirt, Im not saying that i jsut put it in 1st gear and it pulled the boat wiht no trouble, but i did the rocking technique , where you pin the throttle until the boat gets jerked a little and let it roll back the on its forward rock pin the htrottle again adn ull eventually get it out.

that is the nice thing about manual shift atvs you wont strees any belt, so you can pull a lot, but you can pull all you want wiht a belt driven atv as long as you make sure oyu ahve enough tension or "pinch" on the belt

I'm not sure the wieght but I have seen a recon tow a 6x10 trailer with hay stacked up 8ft on it around, man it shocked me to see it, they had to have a guy ride on the front rack to keep it from standing on end when they were moving!

I was pullin a boat out of my grandmas pond. It weighed around 100 pounds but wasnt hooked to a trailer so there was friction against the ground. it also had some water in it from the rain. It was hard keepin the front end on the ground though, pin the throttle, let off , front end hits the ground, repeat process.

Never had a problem pulling with the Recon. I've towed trailers of dirt, gravel and even a trailer with kids for a hay ride. depending on the weight you may want to lay over the handle bars, but it's really a stout bike.
