The YFZ's aren't all that, I raced one (FOB - fresh off the boat - completely stock) at pismo last weekend... I got beat - but the guy had paddles, and I had turf tamers. It was maybe three bike lengths - consistently. He couldn't believe it - my puny little 1985 $1750 bike could keep up. I told him he should sell his piece of four stroke and get a 250R, then take the money left over and buy another 250R for his wife.

Besides - those damn big bores are too damn loud. I'd much rather hear a small 250cc two stroke at 2 in the morning than a loud obnoxious 450 four stroke.
i plan to have a big bore 250r and a trx450r by january of next year.

how about bombardier with the rotax motors, in the skidoo sleds they're using semi-direct injection to reduce admissions

Probably not, but I bet it hurts when they kick you.

They can take my 2-stroke from when they pull my rotting carcass off the seat. I say ride what you got; 2-stroke/4-stroke, no-stroke. The simple fact is when or if they outlaw 2-strokes they won't stop there. Next they'll be looking at that custom hotrod you've spent half your life to restore, and after that ???

My 2stroke is just as loud if not louder than my brothers 400ex with a pipe.
