Default Worst Personal Injury to self or someone else seen on ATV

Didn't happen on a quad but on a street bike.ran up on a guy at approx.55-60 mph on another bike with no brake lights or tail lights. All I could do was hit the brakes and slow it down before dumping it.As all of you know in a situation like this or others posted instinct takes over.So what did I do?Put both hands down as if I was going to catch myself at 50 plus mph, didn't work.I ended up sliding into his rear tire and pushing him into the intersection and I ended up sliding past him on the ground.I got up in an instant and went to the bike to pick it up,thats when i realized I had no sensation in my right wrist/hand,well maybe it kinda burned a little. The jist of this is i had a frature dislocation of the wrist and hand(took all the little bones that make everything work in your hand and either spun them aruond out of order or crushed them.)Needless to say I had to have surgery to correct this problem along with 5 pins and a cast for 16 weeks and months of painful rehab.I'll never be the same since my wrist will only bend just so far.Thats been 2 1/2 years ago and I can still feel it like it was yesterday.I think the only thing that saved me was the HELMET that I was wearing. It was ground down on one side from scaping the concrete, that could have been my head and face.I only got very minor road rash from this accident.Moral of this story, wear all of your protective clothing and helmet and It just might save your life as it did mine.

Ran into the back of my brother in-law after he slammed on the brakes to avoid a washout on the trail (Rookie). I flew over the handlebars, broke my wrist, and some how have a scar in the shape of a kill switch on my knee. I was in a cast for ten weeks. The doctor left my thumb exposed so that I could still ride. Riding with a cast on is a pain in the a--.

i was playin atv offroad furry 2 the other day... had the awfullest wreck ever.. lol.. naw but really a couple months ago i was racing mx at one of the local fairs and we were all out there practicing. this dude on a polaris sport (who i think had never raced before) ran me off the the side of a jump. so i take a tumble off the jump, on my way down my helment breaks a wooden fence then it hits the concrete the post was sitting in, then my ex lands on top of me.. didnt hurt any, jsut hopped back on and finished practice... well later on the dude that was riding the sport in like his first heat trys to make a double but ends up endoing on the landing with his sport coming down on top of him.. the dude wasnt moving or anything so they ended up getting the helicopter to take him to the hospital... come to find out at the next race the dude was only 15 and it paralized him from the waist down.. d@mn!!
