No Honda 450 in Dirt wheels
#13
dont believe anything anybody says on this site, all they're releasing sept. 10 will be INFO about the bike and POSSIBLY when it's comin' out, everything except for what they say then is hearsay and rumors. And just for the record I wish they'd release it now just as much as every other honda fan does.

Here's the deal guys...
Yes, it will be "officially" announced on Sep 10 at the dealer show.
It was not in DW because Honda certainly isn't going to give DW the info before they intro it to their dealers. Also bear in mind that the data in printed magazines is at least a month old because of the time it takes to gather info for articles, do the page layouts, publish, distribute, etc.
Just because it is not in the '04 lineup in DW has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not it will be available as an '04 or '05 model. Honda can bring a new model into their lineup any time they choose - in the past they have made models available at numerous different times throughout the year.
It's highly likely that this model is already in production as I type this. Do not be surprised if it is like the YFZ and shows up at your dealers shortly after it's official introduction.
Think about it a minute, why did Honda go to the trouble to make an announcement before their planned introduction? Because they wanted to give us a teaser that might keep us from running out and buying a YFZ because Honda is "sitting on it's butt". They would not have bothered if it wasn't going to be available in the very near future.
Remember the 400EX - introduced at the dealer meeting in Sep 1998 - on your dealers show room floor Sep 1998.
evhwg - new 4 strokes are where it's at. 2 strokes are going away, like it or not.
Have you actually watched a SX race? In the 250 class practically the only 4 stroke out there is the CRF anymore.
Have you ever been to a GNC TT race? The CRF to YZ ratio in quads out there leans VERY heavily to the CRF.
Have you ever talked to a dirtbike rider? Most will tell you the CRF is one of the most fun bikes to ride that has ever been built - why? Because of the engine.
The CRF's combo of light weight and power output over the entire RPM range is hard to beat.
Those are the reason's everyone thinks the CRF engine is "all that". Besides that, since when is Supercross the sole measure of an engine's worth? Put RC, Chad Reed, Bubba, etc on any of the top 4 bikes and they win - simple as that.
