Marky, Use the 4stroke tech oil cooler, its the way to go. It droips oil temps alot more than a bigger tank, feeds cool oil right to the valve train, and adds 1/2 quart capacity.

I am with you on the oil tank but I refuse to spend $200 on $20 worth of aluminum, and I am planning on making a custom extension to a stk tank.
Have you given any thought to a aux oil cooler? I hear nothing but great things about them and will be testing either the FST one or just running a second stock unit etc. The heat is deff a lot more than with a stock engine so this has to be worked on too.
Glad to hear I am not the only one with pretty much no real problems running higher comp ratios. Maybe just keeping an eye on the engine and understanding that you cant heavilly mod an engine without it needing additional maintenence is helping us both not have the experience that Fred did.

marky- if you have some time tomarrow, you could stop in and help put it back together..lol, any one have a gasket kit lying around???? maybe it got misplaced.. who knows
