Default Rancher Clutch

Hello all. I need to know should I be able to pull my atv backwards when it is cut off and in gear with out any resistance. I have never adjusted my clutch, is this a sign that I need to?

Thanks

All the autoclutch bikes are that way..........they will roll backward in gear. Not the greatest safety feature! I teach the kids that if they get in trouble on a hillclimb when riding a fully manual (hand clutch) to just stall it in gear, and it will hold you on the hill. Not so with the autoclutch.

I recently wondered the same thing myself. Thanks for the answer. I did a little test yesterday, and found that if you put it in Reverse, it'll roll forward (with help) instead of backwards.

Default Rancher Clutch

I just purchased two rancher 350's with manual clutches. They are a 2003 and 2002 models. The 02 seems to shift pretty good, The 03 does not shift as well. I tried adjusting the clutch on the front of the motor. I can't seem to make it any better. Any sugestions. Thanks--Mike

Manual clutches on a rancher? Do you mean manual shift instead of electric shift?

I meant a manual shifter not a manual clutch. Any help I can get in making it shift easier would be appreciated. Thanks--MIke
