Default proplem 400 at

my friend got a new 400at 5 months ago if you drive it in automatic mode at a normal speed then back off the fuel and on again, the engine revs fine but the bike goes nowhere honda has tried everything but cant fix it they even put a computer out of a new bike with no change ANY HELP PLEASE[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

There was a re call on a shifting (into 1st) problem.

Tell your friend to find a new dealer and get this problem solved before his warranty runs out! There have been a few problems with the 400 AT's low end power or not back shifting fast enough, I have not heard of this kind of problem yet. May have something to do with the clutch. Believe me there is a big difference in dealerships service work out there!

Make sure that the machine was initalized properly(there are two steps to be done)and be 100% sure the oil level is correct.Have the oil pressure checked hot. If that is all good sounds like the clutch is burnt.I have seen and have replaced a few of these clutches.
