Trail tech makes speedometers for some bikes, I thought they made one for a rancher. Here is a link to one for a 300ex, I couldnt find one for a rancher with out doing some more looking. they cost about $75.

For about $30 you can go to a bicycle shop and get a digital speedometer that you can calibrate to your quad. I did this about 4 years ago with a Cateye bike speedometer and is still working ok. You simply attach a magnet with JB weld to the inside of a front wheel, the readout clamps to the handle bar and do some simple calibrations. If you want more info on this you can email me at eclaw6185@hotmail.com

Have you tried your Honda dealer? My dad's 300 didn't have a speedo and he had the Honda shop put one on for about $80.
