That sounds more like rider than machine to me. We have more than our fair share of steep as* hills, sandy, covered in marble sized rocks, covered in mud and all kinds of stuff. Wheel speed tears up the trail and digs ruts for the next guy. I can tell you I've put my honda over more stuff when it was stock that others riding similar machines couldn't touch.
What was their solution??? But another machine with a locker and ground clearnance. . Learning to ride a machine is much more fun that point and and apply the gas.

The kid has no right to make a commnet like that about my riding skill..NO WHERE did I EVER indicate that I cant take a 4x4 without a locker thru the woods without it getting stuck..IF this is MOTO's perception,than he is the kind of kid that all of us should make a blueprint of an IDIOT after.The kid should not make statements like this..But,its his ONLY source of comeback..
Perhaps he should concider suing his brain for non-support?..And come to think of it,I'd love to leave him with one thought,but its obvious,he has no where to put it.

Any of you guys ever go to the mud races and watch the quads skim the top of a 3-4 foot deep pit?
Don't think they were utes getting accross in a blink of an eye. To claim a ute can go anywhere a sport can or vice versus is ludicrous. I'd say rider ability has a lot to do with it. And more so on a sport or low powered machine. I have to agree with motox that momentum is very important too, in any situation. To say otherwise only shows your lack of experience in a different style of riding.
And again, mud isn't everything.....there's SAND too! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
