You know what...I take that back about titles, lol, I just got my mail from last night and, well, got my title from my dealer as well.

 

Michigan does issue titles for ATVs, they look like the title to a car or truck. The current owner can get a new title from the Secretary of State. He will need to give the Secretary of State the VIN# of his ATV and they will send a new one in the mail. If he doesn't want to do this it could be some form of insurance fraud. He may want money from you and his insurance company so that he can afford to buy that Raptor. I wouldn't trust him, he's already lied to you once. I live in Michigan, I paid cash for my 2000 400EX and I got a title for it.

 

Thanks for all the help. I did all the research to find out how to get a replacement title for it and they guy sold it the next day while I was doing the research. I did inform him that it was illegal, according to athorities, to sell it without the title. Oh well, Still looking for a 400ex.

i know it doesnt matter now, but the warrenty is transferable.... i just got my 01 400EX today and it is a 25 dollar charge to trnsfer it from owner to buyer.....
