brakes on recon good but wont stop me easy

i got in some water and now the brakes got some water in them
i drained the water and the brakes still must be pushed very hard to make
them stop me , please someone tell me the problem weather or not that i need
to disassemble the rear end or just the brake side or what anything would be
of great help thanks. oh by the way the ,machine is a honda 250 recon year 2000
with hardly any time on it ....

My quad had the same problem. The seal was gone in my rear end and the oil went into the brake drum. The brakes were tight but not stoping me, i think you should check that.
