Redline heavy shockproof

Default Redline heavy shockproof

Would this be ok or over kill for the pinion of a 250EX.

I need to change the gear lube and i have the redline so i was thinging it wouldnt hurt.

For me, I think the Heavy (film thickness of a 75W250) is needlesly viscous for the little 250's rear end, and might rob you of some horsepower.
