hello everyone,,i have a 2006 rubicon. Had it since feb last year and have about 960 miles and 150 hrs on it, The other day,,i took it out the shed and was idling and when i put it in gear,,the display selector it started flashing,,once,,pause than five times,,,,i shut if off and started it back and went off to ride..rode about 2 hrs and it did it again only ofter putting it in reverse,,like it had a terrible miss fire in it,,. I made it back home and check the sensor down by the left foot thats all i done so far.. Yesterday,,i went riding rode all day long ,,never messed up,,i mean in some treachous places done,,perfect..until time to go home and started flashing again,,,i ride in water often ,,but nothing to sink my 4 wheeler,,usually bout fender deep...any suggestions what it could be !!!

I believe 5 is angle sensor/motor lock.

thanks man,,i have another ?..how long will i be able to ride like this,,like i said it doesnt do it often and if i start my atv in gear and take off it shifts fine no problem until i come to a complete stop,,than it might do it and it might not,

Assuming it's in limp mode where the transmission locks in a mid range, I would think it might be hard on the clutch... I'd get to the bottom of the problem and get it corrected before I'd run it...
One of our real experts will hopefully chime in.

when i start it up in limp mode in gear take off within a sec or two,,it shifts fine threw all the gears like nothing is wrong,,even in esp mode i can go threw all the gears,,when i stop for more than 3 secs,,it sometimes blink,,like 2day,i started it up and it ran perfect,,no limp mode or nothing,,just like a Honda should,,im gonna get it fixed but i dont want to pay a diagonistic fee ($80)for a problem they cant find until it happens,,if you know what i mean

Being intermittent like that, I'd be inclined to pull the negative battery cable and take every connector I could find apart to clean them up, blow them out, and hit them with some diaelectric grease...
