OIL FOR 440EX?
#3
The Pingry large capacity oil tank is $275. I am not sure if it is worth the money or not. I have been trying to answer that for myself. But you should still use Mobil 1 15w-50w no matter if you get the larger oil tank or not. Later.

the only thing with synthetics is that once you start using them you have to keep on using them you can never switch oils.
i would think that synthetics would be your best bet for ultimate lubrication. i use 20w-50 from penz.

I am running Castrol 20w-50 full synthetic designed for the large air cooled V-twin engines on street bikes. I am running this through a 250x with Jagg oil cooler. I have had good luck with this oil. I can go many weekends of hard riding on 110 octane race gas and I have yet to break this oil down. The only problem is you MUST let the bike warm up on cold days due to the thick oil. Remember you must break a motor in on petroleum based oil in order to correctly break in your cam. Castrol activo in 15w-30 is a good choice. Change oil after inital 30 minutes, then after 1 hour, and then change to synthetic.

That's not true... Synthetics are fully compatable with non synthetics & most can even be blended if for some reason you so desire...
