Having Trouble Re-Installing Cylinder
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting the rings to compress enough to fit into the cylinder. Trying to finish rebuilding my motor after installing a 13.5:1 Piston and I can't get the cylinder back on because of the rings.
I am working on a 2005 Honda TRX 450R, not that I think it matters a whole lot.

Not being assuming here on your mechanical expertise, but did you remember to gap the rings?
The hose clamp method is as effective as any specialty ring compressor tool so long as you use a clamp as close to the piston size as possible to make the most perfect circle when compressing them.

Yes I gapped them. I have been to a mechanical trade school for automobiles and I have hands on experience with fixing some of the equipment we operate at work, so 4 strokes aren't a problem.
Thanks guys, I'll try the hose clamp tonight.
