Go to www.triangleatv.com and look at their kits. You can buy theirs or make your own with some ideas from their site. They also have a page of VERY important tips to follow for the 450 Foreman besides installing the snorkle.
I made one for mine, pics are on www.sledsooley.com on the Area51 page.

make sure you get all your vent lines ran up and seal everything. you will need to rejet the carb too since your changing the air intake. read here to understand the carb http://www.dansmc.com/carbs2.htm also since you plan on going in water put dielectrial grease on all wire and ground connections. you can buy it at your local auto store. i have a 420 rancher but here are my pics of how i did mine. hope it helps

I checked out your pics wlvrn; looks pretty simple. I have been looking over some of the kits you can buy and they look a little too.........complicated. Have you had any problems with the flex hose? I see that you have it mounted near the motor; is the plastic thick enough to handle some high temperatures?

i have not had a problem since i put it on. i used heat tape around the hose where its close to the motor just incase it did get to hot. autozone or orieily's has it. the hose is just a 2" shop vac hose. i used it so the air flow didnt have to take 90* turns, this way all the turns are gradual just make sure you silicon all your connections and all connections on the airbox. i think there are 2 big rubber groumets you need to silicon and one small one. i cant remember. i also siliconed the airbox lid. good luck
oh also i have less than $20 in mine where as if you buy a kit your lookin around $100

wlvrn,
I am installing this snorkel, but your Rancher is setup a little different then my Foreman. My intake is going to have to run right above my exhaust for eight to ten inches. I checked some auto parts places (Checker, Red Rooster and O'Reily's) all I could get from them was exhaust tape. Do you think I could get away with insulating the 2" hose with pipe insulation and then wrapping that with the exhausts tape?
