THEY WERE DELIVERED TO MY HOUSE AT 6PM LAST NIGHT. I BOUGHT THE RANCHER 4X4ES(OLIVE) FOR MYSELF AND A RED RECON FOR THE WIFE. TOOK EACH OF THEM FOR A 45MIN DRIVE AND HERE IS MY ASSUMPTION. THE RANCHER WAS VERY AGRESSIVE AND RESPONSIVE IN THE SNOW AND HANDLED VERY WELL. THE RECON ON THE OTHER HAND WAS JUST PLAIN FUN! WHAT A FANTASTIC LITTLE MACHINE. I THINK I ALSO PREFER THE MANUAL SHIFT BUT IM SURE I WILL GET ACCLIMATED TO THE RANCHERS ELECTRONIC ONE. IM GLAD I DID GET THE ES BECAUSE OF THE AWESOME LCD DISPLAY AND FULL RUNNING BOARDS BUT AFTER USING A FOOT SHIFT YOUR WHOLE LIFE YOU BECOME PARTIAL TO THIS. ALL IN ALL (EVEN KNOW THE RECONS MY WIFES) I HAVE GOT THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THESE TWO GEMS. ONE, I CAN HAUL DEER OUT OF SWAMPS WITH AND GET TO THOSE REMOTE TURKEY AND DUCK HUNTING SPOTS IVE WANTED TO EXPLORE FOR YEARS. THE OTHER TO JUST RIP ON,JUMP WITH, AND KICK THE *** END OUT WHEN EVER I NEED TOO.(NOT TO SAY YOU CANT JUMP WITH THE RANCHER) SO THATS IT IN A NUTSHELL. ALMOST CRIED WHEN I HAD TO GO TO WORK TODAY PASSING THEM BEAUTIES IN THE GARAGE. ANY QUESTIONS OR FEEDBACK LET ME HERE EM.

I have had my 01 Rancher es 4x4 for a little over a month now and i love it. It does take a bit to get used to the ES ( i had my thumb on it the 1st time I did a small jump and that sucker went into 1st gear real fast! Almost tasted the front rack.) Little lesson learned... I get a smile looking at it every time i walk by it when i'm not on it. Just added a warn 2000 winch to it and really like the way it mounts up under everything.

I also have a Rancher and a Recon...let me tell you that you can haul deer on it too if you like. I have had one on the front rack and one on the back. I know I overloaded the recommended weight capacity with my big butt on there too. I didn't have any trouble crossing a creek and climbing the banks with it. The Rancher really shines though if your going through snow. We did a drive here the last week of bow season and one guy picked off 3 large does and I had them all on the Rancher. We also had about 14 inches of snow back in the woods and I drove right out of there loaded with venison.
