Starting Problems- '03 Honda Rancher
#1
Hi Y'all. I'm having starting issues on a '03 Honda Rancher ES 350 4x4. Couple issues:
1) Installed LT 2000 Superwinch 2 years ago. Started fine for the first year after installment. Circuit breaker went bad in it, now winch doesnt work. (Unless I connect the wires together to void the CB, then the winch works.)
2) For about the last year now, when I go to start the ATV it will underpower itself and struggles to start. If I wiggle the battery cables that are connected to the CB, then it starts to turn over alittle quicker and will eventually fire up. (Once started and ran for about 10-20 mins, u can shut it off and it will fire right back up.) It almost acts like a train starting to move. It gets alittle faster if you stay with it and keep on the starter switch.
Is there something I'm missing here? I wouldnt even mind just disconnecting the winch just to get it to start right. I dont know where the original battery cable (red) hooked up to prior to putting on the winch, otherwise I would have done that to get it to start right.
Any thoughts on how to fix this would help OR if you know where the original cable hooks back up too, please let me know. Thanks guys!
