Got my Goodyear Mudrunners today for my Rancher 4x4
#11
I added MudRunners to my Rancher a month ago and I've slogged through soupy, red Georgia clay-mud .. no problem.
Last weekend, I rode the Tellico ORV Park in NC .. I'd take the muddiest run up the mountain .. again no problem.
You're going to love those tires!

WOW!! I called a local Goodyear store here and was quoted a Whopping $141 per tire!!! Looks like a call to Treadepot real soon!! When he gave me the price i asked if that was for a pair and he said no just 1 tire.I gave him a price from Treadepot and he said ok and hung up the phone.
I guess i won't be asking them to mount them !!LOL

I had the Mudrunners on my 99 Sportsman.I liked them SO much that I bought a set for my new Xplorer to.
The traction that these tires give over the stock ones is not even close. In the worst mud/snow conditions, these tires really show themselves. And they also deleiver a great ride for such an aggressive tire.

The MudRunners did fine on other trails considering they are NOT a trail tire, obvious in the name.
Before the MR's I had Goodyear AT901CL 's, a standard ATV trail tire and I liked them better for gravel roads. The dryer the trail, the better a trail tire will perform over a mud tire.
I saved them since they do have a few miles left on them and thought I'd mount them on some other rims for a spare, or to use when it dryer.
What I noticed when driving the MR's on a dry gravel road or trail was what felt like the tendency for the back end to fishtail more going through curves, common for the 4x2. I run most roads at 20-25mph or so, and trails mostly 8-13mph.
As for climbing loose rock / small boulder; I got good traction with the MR's. I didn't need as much trottle to climb as the wheels didn't spin as my trail tires did when doing a steep, rocky climb. Good traction here.
First gear steep climbs were great; no feeling of slippage.
For small jumps, good traction on the takeoff and good control on landing.
River crossings: good traction all the way.
In all honesty, its been so wet this time of year in the south, I haven't had the chance to get them good and dusty. Haven't been able to raise a good cloud of dust since buying them.
Another post mentioned price. I paid 90 each, mounted through a local tire dealer that sponsors ATV rides nearby. Thought he deserved the business.
Overall, I'd buy them again if I had to do it over again. Oh yeah, I'm running them at 6 psi.
