01 rancher quits

Default 01 rancher quits

01 trx 350 rancher,rides great then just shuts off wont crank,is rectifier going bad?

There's a black screw cap on top between your legs. Unscrew it and put gas in there and put the cap back on. Ok, just kidding. Give us a little more info.

cranks fine,runs fine,revs up fine,past week as riding along it just acts like its loosing power,quits,wait a minute it will run fine for a bout 15 minutes and will do the same thing.could float be sticking and not getting gas?if i take air filter off and cover intake with hand will start for a second and quit again,if i dont do that it will do nothing

That brings me back to the gas cap, seriously this time. It may not be venting properly. Take the cap off and blow into the end of the hose and air should come out the bottom of the cap.

You could also try riding it with the cap slightly loose. If the problem goes away, it's a bad cap vent. Fix or replace it.

Clogged up carb vents also could be problem

gas cap was clogged,carb has some trash,cleaned it will install tonight and reply back,thanks for the help
